WELCOME TO THE MAGIC OF AVER!
WATCH THE ROUTINE WITH FOUR TRICKS FIRST!
ARE YOU READY TO LEARN THESE TRICKS?
TRICK #1 – THE 4 ASES
You will show your amazing skills in magic by making the 4 ases magically appear.
To do this trick, you need to place the 4 ases on top of the deck, and then add an extra card.
TRICK #2 – THE 7TH CARD PREDICTION
You will show your friends and students how you can know the value of a random card.
- Make two piles of 26 cards each
- Remember the 7th Card
- Leave the table pile on the side
- Get 3 random cards
- Add cards to complete number 10, then leave the rest on top of other pile
- Add first 3 cards then count to that number on the deck
- That should be the 7th card!
- Name the card (mentalism)
- Write it on a paper (Prediction)
- Use another deck (Prediction)
- Use a duplicate card (set up the 7th card)
TRICK #3 – MATHEMAGICS
A spectator chooses a card and you immediately tell them what was their card by doing a strange “mathematical formula”
Ask the spectator to select a card. Then cut the deck and place their card on top. Before bringing the other half of on top of their selection, remember the bottom card (or key card).
After that, proceed to cut and complete the deck (around 3 times). Then spread the cards on the table and tell them you are about to find their card by doing a special “mathematical formula”. While you are doing this, find the key card. The spectator’s card should be the next one. Once you know their card, pretend that you are doing a formula (this requires some improv) that will allow you to reveal their card. For example, you can use the top and bottom card and then play with them.
TRICK #4 – Al Pacino’s Scent of a Woman
A spectators chooses a card and then you will be able to reveal their card by feeling their scent.
Ask a spectator to choose a card. Then move the cards 180º. You will notice that since the deck is not symmetric, it will be very easy to find the spectator’s card because it will be the only one facing the opposite direction. To make it more fun, tell them you will find their card by their scent or smell. And process to “smell” the cards. This is really funny!
